Sharing Workouts with Your Customers

Learn about sharing workouts with your customers for at-home workouts or workout previews.

Updated yesterday

The "Share with Customers" option is designed for your customers. It allows them to access and complete the workout in any web browser, without needing the CloudFit app. This is useful for at-home workouts, training while traveling, or previewing a workout before attending a class at your gym or studio.

Note: it's also possible to share workouts with your staff & trainers, please see this help article.

Accessing Sharing

To access workout sharing options, please refer to this help article.

Sharing Options

By default, workouts are not published and cannot be accessed by customers. When you enable "Published", the workout becomes available to customers.

Published Workout Options

Once a workout is published, the following options become available:

Copy Link to Clipboard / Share via...

Use the published workout link to share the workout with your customers through any communication channel, such as email, WhatsApp, or other messaging apps. You can also place this link on your website or in your own customer-facing app.

Open in Browser

Preview the published workout yourself in your web browser.

Last Published

Shows the date and time the workout was last published. The published workout is a snapshot taken at that point in time, so it will not automatically update when you make changes to the original workout.

View Published Workout

Open the published version of the workout to view its modules and configuration in read-only mode.

Update Published Version

Replace the current published version with the latest workout modules and configuration from the workout you are editing.

Expiry Date

View or set a date after which the published workout will no longer be accessible to customers.

Statistics

View data showing how many customers loaded the workout, started it, and completed it.

What can the link be used for?

You can use the published workout link anywhere you want customers to be able to open the workout.

Common uses include:

  • emailing the link to your customers

  • sending the link through messaging channels such as WhatsApp or SMS

  • adding the link to your website or workout schedule

  • including the link in your customer-facing app

  • sharing the link through social media channels such as Instagram, TikTok, or Facebook

Note: Keep in mind that if an expiry date is set, the link will stop working after that date.

How can the workout be run?

Published workouts can be opened and run in any modern web browser, including mobile browsers on iOS and Android, and desktop browsers such as Chrome, Safari, and Firefox.

The workout is rendered to match, as closely as possible, how it appears on the connected displays in your gym or studio.

Frequently Asked Questions

Should I publish the same workouts that we run in our gym or studio to customers?

That is entirely up to you. However, some module types may be less suitable for at-home workouts.

Modules that display a grid of exercises, such as Circuit, Zone, Simple Exercises, or Exercises, are often designed for a group or shared-display setting. For customers doing the workout on their own, it is usually more useful to see only the current exercise they should be performing. These grid-based modules may also appear quite small on a smartphone screen.

Modules such as Whiteboard, Flow, and Demos are generally better suited to at-home workouts that are not being performed in a group setting.

Our workout spans multiple TVs. What happens when it is published?

A published workout will play using the layout of your first display.

If your workout is designed to span multiple displays, only the content from the first display will be shown in the published workout. You may need to adjust your workout settings to make sure the published version displays as intended.

Will our brand colors, logo, background images, and fonts be used?

Yes. Published workouts will use your brand settings, including your colors, logo, background images, and fonts.

Are there any limits on published workouts?

For Business accounts, there is no limit on the number of published workouts.

There are some limits on how many times published workouts can be played, but it would be unusual for most customers to reach those limits.

Can workouts be streamed to a TV?

Yes. Customers can use standard casting technologies, such as AirPlay, to stream the workout from their device to a TV.
