Multi-Track Workouts

Learn about Multi-Track and how it works

Updated over a week ago

What is Multi-Track?

Multi-Track allows mixing what shows on your connected TVs like never before, creating diverse workout types that cater to your members’ needs. At it's core, Multi-Track lets you show different CloudFit modules on different displays while running a workout. For example, you could show a digital whiteboard with an image and text on one TV, while showing a grid of exercise videos with a timer on another TV.

Split the room into a cardio and strength workout, or create a dedicated warm up area, or show a digital whiteboard on one display the entire workout. The possibilities and combinations are endless. This allows you to manage your floor space more effectively, providing dedicated sections tailored to your gym’s layout and vibe.

Tip: For common Multi-Track configurations and how to set them up, please see this dedicated help article.

Open up any of your own workouts. In the top right corner, you will see a button that lets you add a new track. Clicking this button will take you to a new track page where you can add modules the same as any workout.

Note: The "Add Track" button only appears after you have created at least 3 workouts.

In the left image, clicking the "+ Track" button will create a new track and take you to that screen.

In the new track, you will see a few different buttons:

  1. Click the delete button to remove the track (note: this only appears when there are no modules in the track)

  2. Click the "Add Module" button to add a module to the track

  3. Click "Copy Modules from Track" to copy all modules from another track to the new track

Navigating Workout Tracks

You can have a maximum of 4 workout tracks. The first track is referred to as the "Main Track" (or Track 1). The subsequent tracks are Track 2, Track 3 and Track 4.

  1. Use the left and right arrow buttons (or simply swipe left or right) to move between tracks.

  2. The track header shows you which track you are on, how many modules, the track duration and a track count indicator.

  3. The TV icon lets you choose which displays should show this track. The little number in orange represents how many displays are currently assigned to the track. See the next section for more detail on assigning displays to tracks.

Assigning Displays/TVs to Tracks

Clicking the TV icon in the header will open a dialog that lets you assign displays/TVs to that track:

Click the checkboxes to assign a display to the current track. Red text shows below to tell how the display will be reassigned.

Alternatively, you can also click the "Displays" icon in the bottom right corner, which will show you a summary of all your paired displays as well as which track each display is assigned to:

Clicking the track button here will let you change the track the display is assigned to.

Copying and Moving Modules Between Tracks

To copy or move individual modules between tracks, click the overflow menu on the module card (the 3 vertical dots icon). Then choose "Copy to..." -> "Track" to copy a module to another track or choose "Move to track" to move the module over to another track.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

What happens if the Main Track (Track 1) finishes before the other tracks or vice versa?

The workout always uses the Main Track (Track 1) as the length of the overall workout. The entire workout ends once the Main Track finishes. If the other tracks finish before the Main Track, they will load the CloudFit standby screen.

How do full screen timers work with tracks?

You can still make any display show a full screen timer (via the "Displays" settings at the bottom right). You can and should still assign that display to a track as it will show the corresponding full screen timer based on the track.
