The Media Library provides a central place for you to upload images and videos to be used across CloudFit. We also provide a number of built-in Media Library images and videos that you can use.
To view and manage your own media, go to the CloudFit app settings and select "Your Media".
From here, you can:
Upload new images or videos
Delete or rename existing images or videos
View, search/filter and sort your media
Using Your Media
You can use your media or the built-in CloudFit media for your Display Backgrounds and in Whiteboard Modules.
Display Backgrounds
You can use images from the Media Library to show as backgrounds on your connected displays. See the dedicated help article on configuring display backgrounds for more info.
Whiteboard Modules
You can choose images or videos from the Media Library as a background for any Whiteboard Modules. Choose "Background Media" from the Whiteboard Module configuration screen to choose which media to show as well as some Whiteboard Module specific options.
Image Options
After choosing an image for your Whiteboard background, a preview will be shown of what the image looks like given your current Whiteboard Module settings. You can also adjust the following options:
Option | Description |
Media Fit | Choose to either "Fill" the screen (with image cropping) or "Fit" the screen (keep the natural image aspect ratio). |
Video Options
After choosing a video for your Whiteboard background, a preview will be shown of what the video looks like given your current Whiteboard Module settings. You can also adjust the following options:
Option | Description |
Media Fit | Choose to either "Fill" the screen (with video cropping) or "Fit" the screen (keep the natural video aspect ratio). |
Loop Video | Choose to keep the video looping over and over after it finishes or play one time only. |
When Video Ends* | Choose to automatically end the video once the video finishes or to pause the video on the final frame. |
Mute Video** | Choose to play the sound for the video (from the connected display speakers). |
Video Quality*** | Choose to use an optimized version of the video or the original (higher quality) version of the video. Optimized is recommended to ensure workouts load quickly. |
* "When Video Ends" is only available if "Loop Video" has been set to "Play Once"
** Playing audio on multiple connected displays is not recommended as the audio will not be synchronized. If you plan to use audio, you should mute the audio on all connected displays except for one.
*** "Video Quality" only shows if the original video uploaded was high resolution.
Best Practices and FAQ for Media
Images
Use images with an aspect ratio that match your display orientation where possible. Images with a different aspect ratio can be cropped to fill the screen or reduced in size to fit within the space available (see above).
Use high-resolution images, we recommend 1080p if possible (1920x1080 on landscape displays, 1080x1920 on portrait).
Videos
Note: videos are limited to 60 seconds in length. These videos are not intended to be long form content (e.g. an entire workout).
Use videos with an aspect ratio that match your display orientation where possible. Videos with a different aspect ratio can be cropped to fill the screen or reduced in size to fit within the space available (see above).
Any common video format should work fine
We recommend videos with resolution at least 480p (854x480 on landscape displays, 480x854 on portrait displays). Higher resolution videos will look better but also take longer to load.
High-resolution video (HD 1080p or UHD 4K) will automatically be converted to an optimized video resolution to improve workout load times. The original resolution can optionally be selected via the video options (see above), however keep in mind this could significantly increase workout loading times.
Audio on videos can be enabled, although it's only recommended if you keep audio enabled on a single connected display. It's unfortunately not possible to synchronize playback accurately enough so that audio will sound unified across connected displays.
