CloudFit's workout timer offers the ability to play a sound (beep) at the start or end of each set so that the workout class know when to start working, stop working, take a rest, move station and so on. There are a number of built-in sounds for you to choose from and the sounds can be customized on a per module basis.
How do the sounds play?
The sounds are played via your TV media device (ie. Apple TV or Google Chromecast) and will come out the speakers on the TV or any speakers you have attached to the TV. If you use an iPad, the sound will play directly on the iPad.
Setting the Default Sound
You can choose the default sound for all workout modules by going to Settings -> Choose Default Sound and selecting one of the sounds. Only new modules created after changing this will use the new default. All existing modules will continue to use whatever value was set prior.
Setting the Sound in a Module
You can change the sound for any individual module by going to the module configuration, expanding "Additional Configuration" and selecting "Sound". All modules support choosing a sound.
Resetting the Sound for all Modules in a Workout
There's a special option to reset the sound across all modules in a workout. This can be useful if you have a lot of modules in a workout and you want to make sure they all use the same sound. Go to the workout then Configuration at the bottom, then scroll down to "Sound".
Types of Sounds
There are a variety of sounds to choose from including different beeps, boxing bells, gongs and countdown beeps, or you can turn off the sound altogether.
By default, all sounds will play at the start of each timer period. In addition, the system will add a final sound at the very end of the workout.
However, there are some countdown sounds, that play over multiple seconds, that are played at the end of the timer period instead. These are clearly marked as "plays at end of set").
